Out and Back
We left San Ignacio de Tupile this morning at 9am and started heading towards Cartagena. Unfortunately we had 20 knots of wind and 8' seas on the nose and could only maintain a speed of 3 knots. So after an hour out there we turned around and are now safely (and comfortably) anchored at Mono Island, that's only two miles from where we have been anchored for the past two weeks. The forecast is calling for continued moderation of winds and seas over the next few days so we'll be heading out again Saturday morning. With less wind and seas we should be able to maintain sufficient speed to arrive in Cartagena by Monday.
