Eating well
Since arriving at Bocas and having made a couple trips to the well stocked grocery stores here I think we've been eating pretty well. Actually, we always eat well but its nice to have a wider selection of things to stock up with. Last night we had thick cut smoked pork chops with gravy served over rice. The night before we had spaghetti with ground beef. The last time we had ground beef on the boat was maybe 8 months ago. Today for lunch we had tomatoes stuffed with tuna salad served with crackers. Then there was the vegetable stir fry, that was good too as was the marinated boneless chicken dinner. The sausage and rice dinner was good too but we like spicy sausages, they're impossible to find in Panama. Fresh fruits to snack on have been a nice treat too. One thing we haven't had in a long time is fresh seafood. Dolphin bay is highly populated with jelly fish, the kind that sting! So no swimming or spear fishing. We've had a teenager stop by every day asking if we want to buy fish but all he has are little ones, no bigger than 10 inches so we keep passing. Maybe we'll get lucky and have someone come by with some nice lobsters!
