Hanging out at Bocas Town
The area here commonly known as Bocas del Toro actually is a huge area consisting of numerous large bays and inlets. The town of Bocas del Toro is actually a small town on the island of Isla Colon. Yesterday we left Hospital Bight and came over to the anchorage just off Bocas town. We needed to get a few groceries and some fresh fruits and veggies. It's been at least three months since David had a meal out so we had a nice lunch in town. On our final trip back from town with groceries we had the intention of heading over to the fuel dock to get some gas but got interrupted with guests from Voyager. It was a welcome interruption, I was tired of all that running around. Normally we don't like to anchor off Bocas town. It can be noisy and there are a lot of water taxis running back and forth so during the day it gets a bit rolly in the anchorage. But we're going to hang out for a few days, have some things to take care of. Then we'll head out somewhere else where we'll probably meet people, do some reading, catch up on boat projects and eat all our provisions. When we run out we'll make another trip to Bocas to fill the lockers and repeat the cycle.
