Batteries and Mangosteens

We went in to Bocas Marina today and were happy to see our new Rolls EHW220 batteries sitting there. Its raining right now so we can't get them out to the boat quite yet but will do so when it stops raining. More on our buying experience of these batteries later.

Just after lunch we heard a man yelling from outside. A man had come up along side our boat in a large launcha with some of the best looking avocados, bananas and limes I've ever seen. He also had great looking and very large grapefruits and something we haven't seen before, mangosteens. I asked what it was and Ricardo gave me a sample. David and really liked it so we bought a bag full. Everything was 8 for a buck so we spent a few bucks and stocked up on grapefruit and mangosteens. It was a nice unexpected surprise today.

The mangosteen is about the size of a tangerine, has the skin of a pomegranate and inside is what looks like six to eight leeches but without any seeds. Its excellent tasting, a bit sweet and a bit tart. Mangosteens are full of antioxidants too.

Think I'll go have another right now...
