Torres de Alba

After I got into Panama City I took a taxi to Hotel Las Vegas. The lady at the front desk told me I would have to wait at least six hours before a room would be available, what the heck am I supposed to do with luggage and my computer? She gave me two options, take the more expensive suite or take what I call the coffin room (small like a closet with a twin bed). I told her to change my reservation to the cheaper twin bed room. She did, then I canceled my reservation and had to pay a one night penalty, but at least it was their cheapest rate. I walked across the street to Torres de Alba. I'm really glad I did. They only have suites. Rack price is $189 but only $77 with a corporate discount. Or maybe it was my 'green eyes' discount.

The rooms are great! Not only is it huge and clean and nice, the bathroom is really nice, the water is actually hot. There are only four rooms per floor in each of the three towers and the rooms are much quieter than Las Vegas. Tomorrow morning I'll check out the free breakfast and coffee. You'll stay here the next time you're in the city. The bedroom has two double beds and then there is a sofa sleeper and a love seat. Could share the room with other and split the cost if one wanted to.
Oh, they have a coffee maker too. I'm only going to stay one or two more nights but if I were going to stay all week I would have bought coffee to make.
Tomorrow I'm going to Albrook mall after breakfast. Was thinking about getting a coffee maker for when we're in the marina. But mostly for you probably. Would save on propane. Microwave? Probably not. Where to put it...
I went to a store around the corner from McDonalds. An India emporium. Pretty neat.
Still bored off my butt. Might go to McDonalds and get an ice cream. Sounds good, not sure I'll go though.
